The hiest

                    In the wonderful land of Mobius, the citizens were engaged in the year long celebration of Sonic's 20th birthday, which was quite a merry party indeed. However, with the 3ds version of Sonic generations 2 weeks ahead of him, Mesfin set out to celebrate another birthday...


Scarlet was simply sitting in a chair, reading a book, until... 'SLAM' "SCARLET I HAVE A PROBLEM!!" He came in.  Scarlet held up her book in defense. "What was that!?", she screamed. "IT DOESN'T MATTER!! I NEED YOUR HELP!! Oh, and happy birthday." Mesfin replied. Scarlet looked confused. "Ok, explain what mayhem you've caused this time.", she asked me. "Well," He began to explain," It went a bit like this..."


<me> So, after a long search, which I shall tell you about another time, I had finally found the perfect present for you. </em> "I found an Em-e-rald, an em-e-rald, an em-e-rald! I found an em-e-rald, which Scarlet's gonna loooove." He sang. But, as luck would have it, that egghead of a doctor found me, and snatched it from right under my hands! "Eggman!! Give me that emerald right now! It's a present for Scarlet!!" "OOHOHOHOH! Well consider this MY Birthday present!! Now if you will excuse me, I have an appointment with another blue idiot! Later!"   And, just as it had appeared in the special zone, it was gone. However, I soon learned, courtesy of a tweet by eggbot #5732, that my emerald had been stored in an abandoned GUN warehouse. Following an unsuccessful solo raid on Eggman, I realized I needed help, so I went to build a team. First to convince was Rouge, because I knew her thieving skills would be necessary for this mission to go off. "So, let me get this straight kid, you gave one of the most valuable gems in the world, to some girl you draw with." Rouge asked me unbelievably. I replied "Yep, pretty much. The Batgirl raised an eyebrow "Hmm, I guess I can respect that. Fine, I'll pal along." My other person was Big, and his friend Froggy, because I just know they'll come in handy. But, they took a bit of convincing... "But Mesfin, isn't stealing wrong?", The purple obese cat debated. "But Big, it's not stealing per se, it's... repossessing!" I tried to explain. Big started to feel better about the situation. "Oooooh. That's ok, right Froggy?" "Riiiibb"

     "And that's basically what happened. I told them to meet up with me near the fortress at 11pm. So, will 'ya help me?" Finally having finished his long exposition, Mesfin awaited her answer.  "Eh, I had nothing better to do today. I guess I'll come along!" She replied. "Wooo! Soo, I'll come pick you up at 11!" He yelled gleefully.

Several hours later...

Dark had finally fallen over the deserted fortress. On the slowly crashing waves, rode a small black motor boat, gliding silently towards the shore. Out of the boat, stepped Rouge, Big, Froggy, Mesfin, and Scarlet, all dressed in black clothes.  Once they walked up to the fortress, Mesfin addressed the rest of the group." Ok everybody, this is it. You all are here because you have the capability to get through this mission, especially you Froggy. Therefore, I expect this mission to go off wonderfully. Now, the only unguarded entrance into the area is through the sunroof on the top of the building. Since I have no body strength whatsoever, I'll fly Scarlet up there, and Rouge will take Big." "What?!" Rouge yelled in anger, "Why do I have to take him!?" "Since I'm the leader, so nya nya." Mesfin said, sticking my tongue out at her. Enraged, Rouge gave up, and began lifting Big into the air, abet slowly. Mesfin silently grabbed Scarlet's wrist, and began spinning my tail like a propeller, until he finally started to hover through the starry sky, his friend in tow. Mesfin has been flying since he was a kid, so it wasn't that frightening to him. Scarlet though, having only recently been introduced to his brand of craft-less flight, couldn't help but feel a bit woozy. Noticing this, he tightened my grip on her, as if to reassure her that he wouldn't let go.

Scarlet took a deep breath, and started to calm herself down, and it wasn't long until they found themselves on the roof, with Big and an exhausted Rouge. "F-Finally, let's never do that again." Rouge said, panting.  "Mesfin and Scarlet laughed a bit."Heheh! Hah, oh well, let's move on with the plan, everyone enter the building!!" Mesfin yelled, jumping into the warehouse, The others quickly followed. Once they got inside, Scarlet asked, "Ok, we're in, what do we do now?" Mesfin pulled out a map," Simple! We just follow the map to the safe!"

And so, they took a trek across the warehouse, avoiding Eggbots, until they found the safe, in a wonderful montage themed to 'Fly in the freedom'. "Hey, the safe!" Scarlet whispered, pointing to a partly shrouded metal case. "Great!" Rouge noted," Opening that will be a snap!  Let me just reset the counter balance aaaaaand. 'click' Opened! Hey guys, I got it!" "That's great Rouge, really, but maybe you'd want to turn around, like now." Mesfin told her. Rouge flipped around to see…A massive crowd of Eggbots surrounding them. Mesfin began to shout out orders, like the narcissist prick he is. "Scarlet, you guard our rear! Big and Rouge, guard our left and right flanks! Froggy, this should be an easy one. DESTROY. THEM. ALL."

5 seconds later…

"CURSE YOU EGGMAAAAAAN." Rouge shouted, having landed back on Mobius having been forcefully ejected from the warehouse. Everyone was ok, but still recoiling from the fall. "Ugh, that hurt." Big complained. But Mesfin seemed to be the most disappointed, not even trying to get up.  Scarlet loomed over her dejected partner. "Mesfin, are you ok?" Mesfin started tearing up, " I-I-I, wasn't able to get the emerald b-back!" He barley got out, tears running down his chocolate colored face. Scarlet looked shocked to see him act like this, having never seen him really cry before. "Aw," She told him," It doesn't matter! You went into a worn down military factory and were willing to fight the whole Eggman armada just to get me a present. I think that's something worth remembering." "S-still, I have nothing to give you." Mesfin reminded her solemnly.  But before she could respond, Big interjected, "Guys, something's wrong with Froggy!"  Mesfin  and Scarlet turned around to see the Frog apparently choking on something. Big picked up his friend and squeezed him silly until he spit up…a purple emerald. Mesfin's formally damp eyes grew wide. "That crazy reptile swallowed the emerald again!!" Mesfin screamed. Big started to scold his best friend. "Froggy, why do you keep eating emeralds?" "Riiiiib." He meagerly offered as a rebuttal. Meanwhile, Mesfin grabbed the slightly damp emerald, wiped his tears, and offered it to Scarlet. "H-happy birthday Scarlet.", he kindly offered to the brown haired girl. Normally, Scarlet would have rejected the slimy gem, but considering the lengths he had went to to get it back for her, she felt she had no choice. "Heheh, thanks Mesfin" She answered, taking the gem and putting in her coat pocket. Rouge finally spoke up in the middle of this. "Well, this is sweet, but if this is over, I'll be off. And Rouge flew up into the clouds. Mesfin yelled after her." Thanks Rouge, I owe you one!!" Big turned to face his two new friends," Hey guys, wanna go fishing with me?" Mesfin turned to Scarlet, awaiting her answer. "Sure Big, that would be fun."  Mesfin smiled a bit, and they both went off, up for some peace after their adventure together…
